Dr. John Macey, MD
Website: www.drjohnmacey.com
Dr. Macey's practice is the culmination of a lifelong journey in helping women with their obstetric and gynecologic needs. A native of Nashville, Dr. Macey attended Vanderbilt University undergraduate and medical school. He then returned to practice in Nashville after internship and residency in North Carolina.
“I try never to hurry. I want my patients to be educated about all the options available, so that they are comfortable that they are getting the best care available. I have a reputation for taking a lot of time with patients. That comes with being careful, I guess. I get to help fix a multitude of maladies both medical and surgical, yet seldom are my patients really sick. My job is to keep them healthy and diagnose problems before it’s too late. I take away pain and restore fertility and normalize pelvic function. I am truly blessed.”
Dr. Macey is married with three teenage children, all born at Baptist (now St. Thomas Midtown) Hospital. He enjoys storytelling at church, inventing, playing singles tennis, swimming, golf, fishing, and hunting. He write songs, plays guitar, and paints for hobbies. He cuts his own grass, cleans my own gutters, grows his own garden, and even rakes his own leaves. He really loves a good haircut and a good nap. He exercise irregularly, but will encourage you to do better than that.
Dr Roger Sherman, MD
Dr. Sherman has been practicing Obstetrics & Gynecology for over 15 years. The first portion of his practice was in the U.S. Air Force. While in the Air Force, he was deployed to the foreign country of Texas. Subsequently, he moved with his family to La Crosse, WI before joining OB GYN Associates of Nashville in early 2014. Dr. Sherman enjoys taking care of patients with both normal and high risk pregnancies, infertility, abnormal bleeding, urinary leakage, pelvic pain, fibroids, and pelvic organ prolapse symptoms. He performs both obstetric and gynecologic surgeries to promote the health and well being of his patient’s.
Dr. Sherman’s philosophy regarding patient care is that “a visit to your gynecologist should not be anxiety provoking”. For patients to receive the best care, they should be comfortable discussing their problems and asking questions regarding treatment options.
During his off time, Dr. Sherman travels frequently to Wisconsin to see his four children. He also enjoys biking around Nashville, going to the Belcourt Theater and visiting many of the local restaurants.
